Angel "Suaze" Perez is a Musician, Producer and Vinyl Enthusiast from Birmingham AL. Suaze has released numerous instrumental projects and has had the pleasure of working with multiple artists who have used his music as a backdrop as well as contributing live instrumentation for fellow musicians projects. Suaze is well recognized for his vinyl DJ sets, conjoining sounds such as Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Latin and World music. He is currently working alongside DJ Rahdu as The Shure Shot, who have a monthly residency at Birmingham District Brewery. The Shure Shot and Birmingham District have collaborated on 2 beers that received very high marks and were a complete success locally. Suaze hosts a weekly internet radio show Sundays at 12:30 PM cst on Substrateradio.com where he plays an hour of music (from his personal vinyl collection), interviews local musicians, artists and fellow vinyl enthusiasts. In 2022 Suaze was a featured artist on Alabama Public Televisions Monograph and in 2023 he was tasked to score the new Monograph Series. In addition Suaze was recently nominated for United States Artist Fellowship and serves as a board member at Firehouse Community Center. When not working on music Suaze spends his time with his wife and 3 children and is a co-owner /operator of Birmingham Classic Cuts, a barbershop in Birmingham's Avondale district.
