GABBY PACHECO

Gaby is a nationally recognized immigrant rights and education leader and serves as President and CEO of TheDream.US, the nation’s leading organization supporting Dreamers in higher education.

A former Dreamer, she has spent two decades championing immigrant youth—leading campaigns for in-state tuition, protective policies, and licensure bills nationwide. She played a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and was a driving strategist behind the movement that led to its creation.

In 2010, Pacheco co-led the Trail of Dreams, a four-month, 1,500-mile walk from Miami to Washington, D.C., drawing national attention to the struggles of Dreamers. In 2013, she became the first undocumented Latina immigrant to testify before Congress at a Senate hearing on immigration reform.

With deep knowledge of policy and people, Pacheco is a trusted national voice on immigration and education and a tireless advocate for a more inclusive America.
