Yazmin Contreras is the Chief Operating Officer of Contreras Forestry, a family-owned company her father founded in 2015. A UAB graduate with degrees in International Studies and Political Science, she brings over a decade of leadership experience across nonprofit advocacy and business operations. Yazmin has worked with organizations such as the Alabama Coalition of Immigrant Justice, where she led Alabama’s first Latino voter registration campaign, and Adelante Alabama as a lead organizer focused on workers’ rights, wage theft, OSHA 10 training, and immigrant rights. She applies this background to strengthening Contreras Forestry’s H-2B visa program and long-term workforce development. Yazmin is also proudly serves as member of the Junior Board of HICA and is honored to serve her community.
