¡HICA! applauds the decision of the Supreme Court to preserve DACA

Yesterday, June 18, 2020, was a monumental day for not just our community but for the nation. ¡HICA! applauds the decision of the Supreme Court which will preserve DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and allow DREAMERS to stay in the country. 

The Supreme Court's DACA ruling marks a huge relief for thousands of young people across Alabama. ¡HICA! couldn’t be happier that they will be able to stay in the place they call home. This is a reprieve for 700k people, three of whom we call coworkers, friends and are part of our ¡HICA! family.

 DREAMERS are Americans. They are first responders, teachers, and students destined to make great contributions to their state, Sweet Home Alabama, and their nation. #homeishere #sweethomealabama

El fallo DACA de la Corte Suprema marca un gran alivio para miles de jóvenes en todo Alabama. ¡HICA! no podría estar más feliz de que puedan quedarse en el lugar que llaman hogar. Este es un respiro para 700k personas, tres de las cuales llamamos compañeras de trabajo, amigas y son parte de nuestra familia aqui en ¡HICA!
