Silvia Lessa Skultety is the Broker/Owner of Mobile Bay Real Estate, LLC, a prominent real estate brokerage in Mobile, Alabama. Born in Maceió, Brazil, she relocated to Mobile in May 1983, where she graduated from the ESL program at Spring Hill College, mastering English as her second language. In 1988, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of South Alabama. With over 13 years of experience in international sales and marketing focused on the Latin American market, Silvia has established a robust foundation in global business . In 2004, Silvia earned her Real Estate License, followed by her Broker's License in 2012. In January 2020, she fulfilled her entrepreneurial dream by launching Mobile Bay Real Estate, LLC, offering comprehensive real estate brokerage and property management services. Passionate about raising industry standards, she holds an instructor’s license and actively contributes to the Brokers’ and Education committees of the Mobile and Baldwin Board of Realtors. Her leadership extends beyond real estate. Silvia has been a member of the Hispanic American Business Association of the Gulf Coast since 2009 and currently serves as its President. For the past four years, she has also chaired the Mobile Latin Fest, transforming it into a vibrant cultural celebration. In 2024, the HABAGC Board embraced the opportunity to open the nonprofit Continental Commissary Kitchen, an entrepreneurial incubator designed to inspire aspiring chefs and support culinary innovation. Additionally, Silvia has been involved with the Mobile International Festival since 1986, where she presents the Brazilian cultural booth, further enriching the community's appreciation for diverse cultures. Silvia’s outstanding leadership has been recognized by Focus , which honors 40 women over 40 who have made significant professional contributions and positively impacted their communities. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Mobile class of 2024 and proudly completed the Visit Mobile Ambassador Program, where she actively promotes her city using the hashtags #LoveWhereYouLive and #LiveWhereYouLove. Beyond her professional and civic work, Silvia is passionate about food and cultural diversity. She holds a Food Judge Certificate and has judged prestigious events like the World Championship in Dallas, the Fairhope Gumbo Cook Off, and the Coastal Tailgate Cook-Off Challenge. Silvia’s journey is a testament to the power of determination, education, and community service. Through her business success, community leadership, and cultural advocacy, she continues to inspire others to pursue their dreams while making a lasting impact on the community she loves.
