Job Description: Introduction: The Family Development Specialist is responsible to the Family Counseling Director.  Values: Mission Driven, Value People, Be Fluid and Possess a Positive Attitude.

Responsibilities:  
To formulate individualized self-sufficiency plans with clients 
To leverage agency self-sufficiency programs to assist clients with meeting the goals of their development plan
To connect with existing resources in the community  
To schedule routine meetings with clients 
To coordinate funding to achieve maximum benefits  
To work closely with local community partners 
To serve as a Housing Counselor for the agency’s service area
To maintain files in accordance with agency and program requirements
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 
A degree from an accredited college in Social Work or a related field is preferrable, however, experience in the Social Work field or Housing Counseling field can be substituted.
Ability to obtain and maintain certifications necessary for program success 
Be a positive and encouraging person that emphasizes accountability for program participants.

Salary / Hourly Wage: $35000.00
