¡HICA! is excited to host the second annual Latino Opportunity Summit in Mobile, Alabama, in partnership with HABAGC (Hispanic american Business Association of the Gulf Coast). This year, we spotlight Latinos' economic impact and mobility in South Alabama, focusing on education, entrepreneurship, small business, workforce growth, and international trade via the Port of Mobile. More than an event, it's a movement driving economic mobility, industry connections, and future growth.

This summit is more than an event—it’s a driving force for Latino-led prosperity, economic mobility, and regional growth in South Alabama.

Over the last decade, Alabama’s Hispanic or Latino population has grown by 42%, from 78,445 to 264,047 individuals. This growth has been especially impactful in South Alabama, where Latinos are driving economic expansion through small business ownership, skilled labor, and international trade.

Engage with influential leaders, participate in key conversations, and help shape a more inclusive economy. Cities like Mobile and Baldwin County are witnessing the rise of Latino-owned businesses, community development initiatives, and dynamic contributions to industries such as manufacturing, construction, agriculture, hospitality, and logistics.

Explore how the Port of Mobile serves as a gateway between Alabama and Latin America, amplifying the role of Latino entrepreneurs and workers in global commerce.

Dive into discussions on building educational pathways, expanding workforce training, and increasing access to capital for immigrant entrepreneurs. As Latino student enrollment grows across South Alabama, so does the need for targeted resources that fuel both academic and economic success.

Join us in advancing a shared vision for South Alabama—one shaped by unity, innovation, and the strength of our Latino communities.
