Job Description: Westerkamp Group, LLC is an expanding company specializing in Revenue Cycle Management services in the health care industry. We are currently seeking a Bilingual English/Spanish Customer Service Representative in our Birmingham, Alabama office to support our hospital clients.
The core responsibilities of a Customer Service representative include the following:
Ability to speak English and Spanish fluently to support our customer service call center and resolve account billing questions from our community.
Ability to communicate in a polite and professional manner when helping callers to resolve billing questions and taking payments for outstanding account balances while always maintaining confidentiality with all information.
Learn and understand the patient accounting system to quickly and efficiently provide the information requested. This will require previous experience with a patient accounting system (currently EPIC and Cerner Millenium).
Work on other assigned tasks when there is downtime or reduced inbound calls over a period of time. These tasks will require following documented standard procedures.
Escalate complex customer inquiries or complaints to the manager.
Understand and follow all regulations related to Personal Health Information and HIPAA standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
