Meet ¡HICA!'s New Grants Director

¡HICA! is happy to announce that Karin Ingram Park will be joining our team as our new Grants Director! She brings with her a wealth of experience and will provide valuable leadership to the organization.

Karin joins ¡HICA! after serving as grants manager for nearly 6 years for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (ASO) where she was responsible for an annual foundation and government fundraising goal of $600,000 and regularly contributed to their $1M corporate fundraising goal as well. She secured some of its largest annual operating and multi-year grants, including its first National Endowment for the Arts Grant since 2015.

Karin has over a decade of non-profit and development experience that includes positions at Gateway Child & Family Services, and Junior League of Birmingham. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UAB in 2004. Then completed her postgraduate studies at Birmingham School of Law in 2007, earning a juris doctorate, and passing the Alabama State Bar in 2008.

She began working in fund development in 2011 after practicing as an attorney. She is passionate about social justice and community enrichment.

Karin is a life-long resident of Birmingham, currently residing in Bluff Park in Hoover. She enjoys music, nature, hiking, cooking and writing stories with her mother, visiting her four nieces in Tuscaloosa, and spending time with friends and their dogs.
