POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently hiring a bilingual client coordinator. This individual needs to read/speak both English and Spanish. We can work with them on schedule if needed. The Transport Coordinator coordinates, schedules,  and processes all ride requests.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Receive incoming calls from new clients, previous clients, social workers, doctor’s offices, and other sources scheduling appointments.  Based upon day and time of appointment, determines where on the upcoming schedule this client can be placed.  If client cannot be accommodated, determines if appointment can be rescheduled or places client on a wait list.

  • Process incoming calls from repeat clients to be placed on the long range schedule.

  • Verify and collect client information.  Enters client information into data into data base.  Ensures that all client information is safeguarded, does not disclose client information without verifying requesting sources.  Ensures the accuracy of all data entered

  • Coordinate and process changes in the schedule; working with clients and providers.

  • Communicate with Dispatch daily in regards to schedule in progress and provides input to changes in schedule if needed,

  • Maintain provider database and ensure all information is up-to-date and correct. 

  • Contact clients daily to verify and confirm appointment information; give pick up information for the following day’s schedule

  • Maintain client files.  Ensure all release forms have been obtained from the clients.

  • Process new client applications; notify client of receipt and obtain any missing information; notify clients that their application has been approved.  Ensure clients obtain copies of polices and procedures and reviews these polices and procedures with the clients.  Answers client questions.  Ensure clients are aware of Medicaid support and explain process of obtaining non-emergency transportation reimbursement of Kid One.

  • Record denial information in the database.

  • Perform Dispatch functions as needed

  • Perform Transport Team functions as needed

  • Exhibit and display total professionalism in all communication activities

  • Check voice mail and email every hour. 

  • Represents Kid One at health fairs and presentations as needed.
